Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: 70 km/h.

Locations: South Shore.

Time span: beginning Sunday morning and ending overnight Sunday into Monday.

Remarks: Snow will intensify during the day Sunday, with the highest accumulations expected Sunday evening. Gusty easterly winds will accompany the snow producing blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Conditions are expected to improve early Monday.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.

Accumulating snow on Sunday.

Locations: Halifax County West, Digby, and Annapolis counties. 

Total snowfall: 5 to 15 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: Northeasterly 40 to 60 km/h.

Time span: beginning Sunday morning and ending Sunday night into Monday.

Similar storms in the past have caused:
- hazardous driving conditions
- cancellations of scheduled activities

Remarks: Snowfall accumulations will be highly variable over short distances, a slight shift further north in the storm track will lead to higher snowfall totals.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
  12 inches with locally higher amounts over southern New Hampshire
  and far southwestern Maine. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph,
  especially along the coast with blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine
  and central, northern, and southern New Hampshire.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Significant snowfall and periods of heavy snowfall rates
  will combine with low visibility to create very dangerous driving
  conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce
  visibility.

central Maine, western Maine and northern New Hampshire.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Light snowfall accumulations and slick travel are possible tonight
and Sunday as low pressure tracks offshore of southern New England.

Another storm is likely Tuesday night and Wednesday of next week,
with heavy rain and flooding, snow, and strong winds all possible.
