Wet and windy weather across New Brunswick is to blame for power outages and flood warnings in low-lying areas.
More than 1,000 customers were without power in the province Saturday afternoon, most of which were in the Fredericton area.
Heavy rains forecasted for the province this weekend have also prompted government officials in New Brunswick to issue flood warnings.
Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for most of New Brunswick with as much as 120 millimetres of rain expected to fall in central, southeastern and southwestern regions by late Saturday.
Homeowners are advised to take precautions to avoid any possible flooding, such as clearing rain gutters, culverts and ditches.
New Brunswick River Watch is warning people to take special care around rivers this weekend.
The government agency is asking homeowners on floodplains in the province to remain vigilant and pay attention to rising water.
In Saint John, city crews have been preparing for days for possible road closures in low lying areas.
The usual flood-prone areas in Saint John are already experiencing flooding. There was already a large amount of water on Rothesay Avenue Saturday afternoon.
The timing of the tide and heavy rains could be a problem. If the tide is in, the spillway cannot open, and that could cause further flooding problems.
In Moncton, precautions have been taken at Jones Lake. The city drained the artificial lake in anticipation of the weather.
The Belleisle Ferry is also out of service until further notice due to high winds.
