Rainfall warning for
Kent County continued
Rainfall amounts of 50 to possibly 70 millimetres are possible for much of New Brunswick except southeasternmost regions.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A low pressure system east of Cape Cod will approach New Brunswick tonight and is expected to move across the province on Saturday. A slow moving warm front ahead of this system has spread rain over most of the province. Southern and Western New Brunswick have received anywhere from 40 to 70 millimetres of rain which will spread to the northeast by the time the rain tapers off on Saturday. Locally amounts could exceed 90 millimetres, especially in thundershowers. Southeasternmost regions of the province should see lesser total rainfall amounts generally in the 30 to 45 millimetre range.
