An intensifying trough of low pressure approaching from the Great
Lakes is forecast to track across the Maritimes on Monday and to lie
east of Prince Edward Island by early Tuesday morning. Rain ahead of
the trough is forecast to begin Monday morning and end overnight with
total rainfall amounts possibly reaching 20 millimetres.
Strong southerly winds are also expected ahead of the trough on
Monday with gusts possibly reaching warning criteria of 90 km/h in
some areas.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as
warnings may be required or extended.

An intensifying trough of low pressure approaching from the Great
Lakes is forecast to track across the Maritimes on Monday and to lie
east of Cape Breton by Tuesday afternoon. Periods of heavy rain
ahead of the trough will begin over Southwestern Nova Scotia early
Monday then spread to Northeastern Nova Scotia including Cape Breton
Monday evening. The rain is expected to end over Cape Breton by
Tuesday afternoon as the trough moves away. Total rainfall amounts
may exceed 40 millimetres locally.
Strong southerly winds are also expected ahead of the trough on
Monday with gusts possibly reaching warning criteria of 90 km/h in
some areas.

An intensifying trough of low pressure approaching from the Great
Lakes is forecast to move across New Brunswick on Monday. Periods of
rain ahead of the trough will begin over western and southern regions
later tonight and will become heaviest on Monday as it spreads
eastward. Total rainfall amounts may exceed 40 millimetres along the
Bay of Fundy with lesser amounts elsewhere.
Strong southeasterly winds are also expected ahead of the trough on
Monday with gusts up to 80 km/h possible.

warnings may be required or extended.
