First Half of April 2015 Weather at Caribou and Bangor, Maine




...Weather during the first half of April at Caribou and Bangor...

During the first half of April temperatures have averaged below
Normal with below normal precipitation at both Caribou and Bangor.

So far this month the average temperature at Caribou of 31.3
degrees was 3.6 degrees below the 1981-2010 average temperature.
It has been the coldest first half of April since 2007.

There has been a total of 1.18 inches of rain and melted
Snow at Caribou through april 15th, which was 15 hundredths
(0.15") of an inch below normal. A total of 8.5 inches of snow has
been observed so far this month, which was 3.4 inches above
Normal.

At Bangor, the average temperature through april 15th of 36.3
degrees was 3.1 degrees below average. It has also been the
coolest start to the month of April since 2007.

There has been a total of 1.04" of rain and melted snow, which is
81 hundredths (0.81") of an inch below normal. A total of 6.3
inches of snow has been observed so far this month, which was 3.4
inches above normal.

The low temperature this month of 4 below at Caribou on the
morning of the 6th was a new all-time monthly low temperature
record for the month of April. It broke the old record of -2F set
on April 2, 1964.
