First Half of July 2015 Weather Summary for Northern and Eastern Maine


...Weather during the first half of July at Caribou and Bangor...

So far temperatures have averaged near normal with below normal precipitation. One thing that stands out is the lack of
thunderstorm activity, with no severe thunderstorms during the first half of the month.

At Caribou, the average temperature from July 1st-15th of 65.4 degrees was just one tenth of a degree (0.1F) below the 30-year
average temperature for the first half of July. At Bangor, the average temperature of 67 degrees was 1.1 degrees below average.

Only 1.26 inches of rain has been observed this month at Caribou with most of that falling on the 1st (0.52") and the 15th (0.64").
This is near 8 tenths of an inch below normal. At Bangor, only 64 hundredths of an inch (0.64") of rain has been observed this
month, which is nearly an inch below normal.
