Discussion.
A low pressure system approached the Maritimes from the south on
Friday. The low centre tracked across eastern Nova Scotia and Prince
Edward Island Friday evening then gradually weakened as it drifted
westward back over central New Brunswick where it currently sits
this morning. This system brought snow at times heavy and produced
significant accumulations to parts of New Brunswick, and will give a
few more additional centimetres to some parts of the province today.

A low pressure system approached Nova Scotia from the south on
Friday. The low centre tracked across Guysborough County early
Friday evening then continued northward into the Gulf of St Lawrence
overnight then weakened as it drifted westward back over New
Brunswick where it currently sits this morning. This system brought
snow at times heavy and produced significant accumulations to parts
of Nova Scotia. In Cape Breton, freezing precipitation was reported
for a period of eight hours stretching from late morning until early
evening.
