Freezing rain warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

A prolonged period of freezing rain is expected to develop this evening and spread northward tonight. The freezing rain is expected to persist into Tuesday morning over the northernmost areas.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
