...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow with some sleet possible. Total snow
  accumulations of 5 to 10 inches and sleet accumulations of a
  quarter inch or less possible.

* WHERE...Northeast Aroostook, Northern Piscataquis, Northern
  Penobscot and Southeast Aroostook Counties.

* WHEN...From late Monday night through Tuesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening
  commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Acadian Peninsula
Significant snow and ice pellets with a risk of freezing rain is expected. Rain is also possible along the Fundy coast and in the southeast.

Locations: New Brunswick except for northwestern areas.

Time span: Late Monday evening until early Wednesday morning.

Remarks: Snow and ice pellets are forecast to begin near midnight over southern New Brunswick. Precipitation will spread across the province, reaching northeastern areas in the afternoon. The precipitation may switch over to rain along the Fundy coast and southeast New Brunswick in the morning, then changing back to snow. There is also a risk of freezing rain in the south during the transition between rain and snow. The snow will end overnight Tuesday night over western areas and early Wednesday morning over eastern areas.
