Snowfall warning in effect for:

Prince County P.E.I.
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm continues.

Time span: continuing until later tonight.

Locations: Prince county PEI

Remarks: Snow, heavy at times, will mix with or change to rain over southern parts of Prince county for a time this evening which will reduce snow accumulations there. Snow or rain will then taper to flurries overnight tonight with strong and gusty northwest winds developing which will usher in very cold temperatures and cold windchills on Tuesday. Some blowing snow is possible on Tuesday especially over exposed areas.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to PEstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #PEStorm.
