* WHERE...Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

A Coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for

Special weather statement in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County

Significant snow, rain with a risk of freezing rain, wind and possible storm surge expected Sunday night and into Monday.

Total snowfall: Possibly exceeding 10 cm in Northern New Brunswick.

Total rainfall: possibly exceeding 20 mm especially along the Fundy Coast.

Locations: New Brunswick.

Time span: Sunday afternoon trough Monday afternoon.

Remarks: Periods of snow mixed with ice pellets will develop over western New Brunswick late Sunday afternoon and will spread eastward overnight. The snow will change to rain Sunday night with a period of ice pellets likely during the changeover. There is also a risk of freezing rain.

Over northern New Brunswick, snowfall amounts will likely exceed 10 cm. The strongest winds will likely be along the Fundy coast where gusts up to 80 km/h are likely. Significant rainfall is expected and the heaviest amounts will likely be along the Fundy coast.

In addition, higher than normal water levels and rough pounding surf are expected at high tide overnight Sunday night along the Fundy Coast.

Significant rainfall and winds expected overnight Sunday and into Monday morning.

Total rainfall: possibly exceeding 20 mm.

Locations: Prince Edward Island.

Time span: overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

Remarks: Ice pellets or freezing rain will develop late Sunday evening and change to rain overnight. Total rainfall amounts may reach warning level criteria (25 mm in 24 hours) by Monday morning. Strong southeasterly winds gusting to 80 km/h are expected. Rainfall and wind warnings are possible with future forecasts.

Significant rainfall, wind, and possible storm surge expected Sunday night and into Monday.

Total rainfall: possibly exceeding 20 mm especially along the Atlantic Coast.

Locations: Nova Scotia.

Time span: Sunday evening into Monday morning.

Remarks: Rain and strong southeasterly winds will develop Sunday evening over the western part of Nova Scotia and will spread eastward reaching Cape Breton after midnight. The rain will be proceeded by a brief period of snow or ice pellets with a risk of freezing rain in the north and east. Total rainfall amounts will likely approach and exceed rainfall warning criteria (25 mm in 24 hours) over some areas. Also, southeast winds are currently forecast to gust to 80 km/h. Wind and rainfall warnings are possible for some counties.

In addition, higher than normal water levels and rough pounding surf is expected at high tide Monday morning along the Atlantic Coast from Yarmouth to Canso.
