April Fools' Day Storm 2021 Update Two
Rainfall warning in effect for:
Guysborough County
Rain, heavy at times is expected.
Total rainfall: 30 to 60 mm.
Locations: from Digby County eastward to Guysborough County.
Time span: this morning or afternoon and continuing into Friday. The rain will end over western counties during the day Friday.
Remarks: Rain at times heavy will spread from west to east today then end from west to east for some regions on Friday. The system will stall over eastern Nova Scotia Friday and into Saturday resulting in additional rainfall amounts beyond the current forecast period.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Acadian Peninsula
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Locations: northern New Brunswick.
Time span: developing this afternoon in the northwest and overnight tonight in the northeast. Ending tonight in the northwest and near noon Friday in the northeast.
Remarks: Snow will change to freezing rain and ice pellets in the far northwest this afternoon with a gradual changeover for Mount Carleton and eastern Restigouche later today then eventually the Bathurst region and the Acadian Peninsula overnight tonight. 4-8 hours of freezing rain is possible during the event.
Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
