This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Maine, south central Maine,
southwest Maine and western Maine.

Light freezing rain may mix in with snow late tonight and early
Saturday morning. This could result in slick elevated, untreated
surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Light freezing rain may mix in with snow late tonight and early
Saturday morning. This may result in slick elevated, untreated
surfaces.

A complex storm system may bring light snow and mixed precipitation
to the area Sunday through Monday. Future forecasts will need to be
monitored as slick travel conditions may result.

The combination of todays wintry precipitation and temperatures
below freezing may result in continued slick road conditions
tonight. Motorists are advised to use caution on area roads.

Freezing rain warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Locations: central New Brunswick

Freezing rain duration: 6 to 12 hours

Time span: ending by Saturday morning.

Remarks:

Over north-central New Brunswick: freezing rain will end overnight.

For south-central areas including Fredericton, rain will change to freezing rain or ice pellets overnight. Freezing rain will end near noon Saturday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
