...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TUESDAY TO 8 AM
EDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Areas of blowing snow
reducing visibility to less than one half mile at times.
* WHERE...Central Washington, Interior Hancock, and Southern
Penobscot Counties.
* WHEN...From 8 AM Tuesday to 8 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel extremely dangerous. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of
an emergency.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause
primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm, possibly more, is expected.
Locations: Guysborough, Richmond, Sydney Metro and Cape Breton and Victoria counties.
Time span: Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
Remarks: The highest accumulations may occur over Victoria county where snow may linger until Wednesday night. Snow is expected to be wet and heavy in nature as temperatures will remain near freezing.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
Snowfall with total amounts of 15-20 cm is expected.
Locations: Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, Fundy National park, Kent County, Kouchibouguac National Park and Miramichi.
Time span: Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
Remarks: Snow is forecast to develop in the south Tuesday afternoon and spread northward. Snow will persist through the day Wednesday and further accumulation is expected and warnings may be extended to other regions. Snow may become mixed with rain in the southeast Wednesday morning.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
