EDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph from the southeast late
tonight into early Sunday. Patchy blowing and drifting snow in
open areas.
* WHERE...Northeast Aroostook and Northwest Aroostook Counties.
* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM EDT Sunday. Heaviest
snowfall rates late tonight to early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Wet, heavy snow could
bring down tree branches and lead to isolated power outages.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel extremely dangerous. If you must travel,

A wintry mix is expected this afternoon into the overnight hours
tonight. Sleet and snow will mix with and transition to rain before
ending Sunday morning. A slushy 1-3" of snowfall is possible before
this transition, which could result in slippery travel conditions.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
