A period of very warm and humid weather will continue.

Time span: continuing through Friday.

Minimum temperature tonight: 18 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Friday: 28 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36 to 39).

Locations: parts of central and southwestern New Brunswick.

Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along the Fundy coast. Temperatures and humidity will moderate on Saturday as a cold front moves through the province.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
