Discussion.
On Thursday, July 11th an area of heavy rain with embedded
thunderstorms brought several hours of torrential downpours to the
province from Digby to Guysborough in the late afternoon and early
evening. Several areas experienced flash flooding, road washouts or
bridge collapse.
The following is a summary of weather event information received by
Environment Canada.

...Remnants of Tropical Cyclone Beryl continues to weaken with
lingering showers across the St. Lawrence River Valley, Interior
New England and Coastal Maine...

At 1000 AM EDT...The remnant low(s) associated with Beryl are
stretched out along an occluded front/warm front over eastern Lake
Ontario toward a triple point low in the Upper Connecticut River
Valley. The minimum central pressure was 1008 mb (29.77 in Hg).
Beryl continues to drift eastward through Interior New England.
The associated cold front has moved off-shore through the
Mid-Atlantic; though still bisects New England, slowly pressing
eastward with showers and weak thunderstorm activity that have
pressed well east of the boundary into far eastern Maine. Some new
activity may develop this afternoon but should generally be below
1" across northeastern New England. For more information
