...Coastal storm to provide first widespread snowfall to the
area...

.A coastal low will move rapidly northeast and track near the
Gulf of Maine tonight into Friday, bringing heavy snow to the
northern two-thirds of the area. Closer to the coast and inland,
freezing drizzle and rain will mix in with the snow, bringing the
snowfall totals down. The storm will move away quickly by Friday
evening.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 4 PM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Plan on difficult
  travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches,
  with localized amounts up to 10 inches, and ice accumulations
  of a light glaze are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New Hampshire and, south central,
  southwest, west central and western Maine.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 4 PM EST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
  visibility at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice are expected. This will make travel very hazardous or
impossible. For a more precise forecast for your specific

Snowfall warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Snow will develop over southwestern New Brunswick early Friday morning and spread across the province throughout the morning. The snow will mix with ice pellets in the afternoon and then being to taper off Friday evening as the storm moves away from the province.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected with this storm.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
