Winter Storm Ezekiel Update Three

Special weather statement in effect for:

Campbellton and eastern half of Restigouche County
western half of Restigouche County
Significant snow and ice pellets with a risk of freezing rain is expected. Rain is also possible along the Fundy coast and over southeastern regions.

Locations: Northern and western New Brunswick for snow; southern and eastern New Brunswick for ice pellets, freezing rain and rain.

Time span: Late Monday evening until early Wednesday morning.

Remarks: Snow and ice pellets are forecast to begin near midnight over southern New Brunswick. Precipitation will spread across the province, reaching northern areas by noon. The precipitation may switch over to rain along the Fundy coast and southeast New Brunswick in the morning, then change back to snow. There is also a risk of freezing rain in the south during the transition between rain and snow. The snow will end overnight Tuesday night over western areas and early Wednesday morning over eastern areas. Snowfall warnings will likely be required for northwestern parts of the province, with freezing rain warnings possible for areas to the south and east.
