...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by this morning`s
  excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of North Central Maine, including the following
  county, Piscataquis.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 750 PM EDT, the public reported roads in the area continue
    to remain underwater. Rivers and small streams will remain
    high tonight.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville, Guilford, Brownville Junction,
    Milo, Monson, Blanchard, Elliottsville, Kingsbury Plantation,
    Ebeemee, Orneville, Sangerville, Brownville, Parkman, Abbot,
    Sebec, Atkinson, Wellington, Shirley and Willimantic.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...The National Weather Service in Caribou ME has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Maine...

  Piscataquis River Above Dover-Foxcroft affecting Piscataquis
  County.

For the Piscataquis River...including Blanchard, Dover-Foxcroft,
Abbot, Medford...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued late tonight at 430 AM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Piscataquis River above Dover-Foxcroft.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Back Road in Abbot flooded. Floodwaters
  encroach on Guilford Recreational Fields.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:00 PM EDT Monday the stage was 10.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 11.3 feet this evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late this evening.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    11.3 feet on 04/28/1973.
