Record Warm September and October in Northern and Eastern Maine
For all major weather stations in Northern/Eastern Maine, it was the warmest October on record, in many cases by a very wide margin. This comes on the heels of a near record warm September.
For the two month period of September through October it was the also the warmest on record at Caribou, Houlton, Millinocket, and Bangor.
It wasn't just us. Most places in New England had a record warm October. How warm was it? The observed October temperatures in Northern Maine were about what would be average for Central Pennsylvania, and for Downeast, it was about what would be average for Northern Maryland.
