Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Guysborough County
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Freezing rain or freezing drizzle continuing over some areas this morning.
Locations: Mainland Nova Scotia except the extreme southwestern areas.
Time span: This morning.
Remarks: Freezing rain and freezing drizzle will change to rain later this morning as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. This changeover is expected to occur by mid morning over southern areas and by late morning over northern areas.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
Extended period of freezing rain and ice pellets expected this morning.
Locations: southern New Brunswick.
Time span: early this morning until noon today.
Remarks: Snow mixed with ice pellets with patchy freezing drizzle early this morning and will change quickly to freezing rain or ice pellets. Precipitation will gradually change back to snow from west to east beginning early this afternoon.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
