Hybrid System to be give region wet, windy and wild weekend

A hybrid system, made up of the phasing of a stalled frontal boundary near the coast and an area of moisture from the tropics, is moving into the region from the SW today. This composite feature will give us a wet Saturday (with up to 75 mm/3 inches of rain in isolated spots), and a windy Sunday as the gradient between the departing low pressure to the East and advancing High from the West tightens (isolated wind gusts of up to 90 km/h/50 mph are possible).
