...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of East Central Maine, including the following
  county, Penobscot.

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
  impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1101 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding on
    the Pushaw Road in Glenburn that has caused a culvert and
    road to collapse. This is causing small stream flooding.
    Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen overnight.
  - Pushaw Road in Glenburn is the most likely place to
    experience minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bangor, Old Town, Orono, Hermon, Kenduskeag, Glenburn,
    Levant, Hudson and Alton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
