AND SULLIVAN.
* FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING
* FLOODING FROM RAINFALL...SNOWMELT...AND RIVER ICE IS POSSIBLE.
* THE COMBINATION OF RAINFALL, SNOWMELT, AND MILD TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED TO PRODUCING RIVER RISES AND ICE BREAKUP LATER TODAY
INTO TONIGHT. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ICE JAMS WHERE ICE MOVING
DOWN A RIVER IS HELD UP AT CONSTRICTIONS SUCH AS BRIDGES,
ISLANDS, OR BENDS IN THE RIVER. WATER CAN QUICKLY BACK UP BEHIND
A JAM AND PRODUCE FLOODING WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
RUNOFF FROM RAINFALL AND SNOWMELT MAY ALSO CAUSE LOCALIZED
FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

THE REGION TODAY INTO WEDNESDAY. THIS COULD RESULT IN MINOR ICE
MOVEMENT ON AREA RIVERS BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY...BUT AS

Rainfall
warning for Saint John and County continued
Total rainfall
amounts of 30 to 40 millimetres forecast for these regions starting tonight and
ending late Wednesday.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is
expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated
statements.
A trough of low pressure approaching from the west will move
into New Brunswick on Wednesday. Rain will spread into Northwestern New
Brunswick this afternoon and elsewhere tonight. The rain will end over western
regions late in the day Wednesday. Rainfall amounts of 30 to 40 millimetres are
forecast for southwesternmost regions with lesser amounts expected elsewhere.

Lunenburg County continued
Near 30 millimetres of rain expected on
Wednesday.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected in
these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated
statements.
A trough of low pressure will approach from the west
overnight tonight. Bands of rain at times heavy will begin overnight tonight
over Western Mainland Nova Scotia and will move slowly eastward during the day
Wednesday. Near 30 millimetres of rain is expected over Western Nova Scotia by
late Wednesday evening. This is a slow moving system and those bands of rain
could continue to move slowly eastward Wednesday night resulting in rainfall
warnings being extended to much of Mainland Nova Scotia.
