Special weather statement in effect for:
  • Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
A low pressure system approaching from the Great Lakes will push rain at times heavy into Nova Scotia overnight tonight and into Wednesday. The rain will begin to taper off Wednesday afternoon. 20 to 40 millimetres are forecast for much of mainland Nova Scotia however, rainfall amounts could exceed 50 millimetres in some areas, requiring rainfall warnings. The rain will taper off Wednesday afternoon. 20 to 40 millimetres are forecast over southern portions of the province however amounts could exceed 50 millimetres in some areas, requiring rainfall warnings.
