...STRONG WIND GUSTS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT...
.In the wake of departing low pressure, strong wind gusts are
forecast to develop this afternoon and continue into the
overnight for parts of the forecast area. The strong wind gusts
are expected to occur in two bursts across two different parts of
the area. One will be this afternoon across southern New
Hampshire and adjacent southwestern Maine. The second will be
tonight over parts of western Maine.

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a High Wind
Watch, which is in effect from late tonight through Sunday
morning.
* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
* TIMING...Late Saturday night through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Numerous power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph...or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.

Queens County P.E.I.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
Strong easterly wind gusting to 80 km/h will diminish slightly this afternoon as they switch to the southwest. These southwesterly winds will strengthen on Sunday morning with gusts to 90 km/h then slowly weaken by the afternoon.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
