Special weather statement in effect for:

Victoria County
Wet weather expected to continue tonight and Saturday.

A low pressure system over southwestern Nova Scotia will slowly cross the province tonight to lie northeast of the province on Saturday. Rain associated with this system will persist tonight and Saturday. Showers or periods of rain will persist Saturday night.

Total rainfall amounts may reach or exceed 50 mm. Warnings may be extended to these counties with future updates.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system will slowly cross Nova Scotia today and pass to the northeast of the province on Saturday.

Rain at times heavy and thundershowers will taper to showers in the west overnight tonight. Periods of rain will persist over eastern areas on Saturday.

Rainfall warnings have been extended farther south to include Atlantic coastal regions from Yarmouth County to Halifax County.

Total rainfall amounts in excess of 50 millimetres are expected for these regions.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
