...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 3 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 3 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Rainfall Warning in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Rain at times heavy and mild temperatures are expected.

Total rainfall: 50 to 90 mm by 6 AM Friday.

Time span: tonight through to Friday morning. 

Remarks: There are some indications rainfall totals will surpass 100 mm locally.

Similar storms in the past have caused:
- localized flooding, especially in poor drainage areas
- the overflowing of creeks and rivers.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Yarmouth County
Rain, heavy at times is expected.

Locations: Digby and Yarmouth counties.

Total rainfall: 30 to 40 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.

Time span: Thursday morning until Friday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Freezing Rain Warning in effect for:
Bathurst and Chaleur Region
A significant period of freezing rain is expected.

Freezing rain duration: 4 to 8 hours.

Time span: beginning late this evening and ending early Thursday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Utility outages may occur.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
