A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPED SOUTHWEST OF NOVA SCOTIA ON SUNDAY
AND THEN INTENSIFIED RAPIDLY AS IT TRACKED NORTHWARD PASSING JUST
EAST OF CAPE BRETON MONDAY MORNING. BY MONDAY EVENING THE VERY
INTENSE LOW WAS OVER SOUTHEASTERN LABRADOR.

THE LOW BROUGHT SNOW TO MANY PARTS OF NEW BRUNSWICK SUNDAY AND
MONDAY.

ON SUNDAY AHEAD OF THE LOW MOST OF NOVA SCOTIA EXPERIENCED SNOW,
RAIN, AND FREEZING RAIN. THE MIXED PRECIPITATION CHANGED TO SNOW AND
LOCAL BLOWING SNOW ON MONDAY. ALSO IN THE WAKE OF THE LOW VERY
STRONG WESTERLY WINDS DEVELOPED ACROSS MANY PARTS OF THE PROVINCE.
