...HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT

THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Southeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 to 70

  mph possible. The highest gusts will be along the Downeast

  coast.

* WHERE...Southern Penobscot, Interior Hancock, Central

  Washington, Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power

  lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be

  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this

situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe

location prior to the onset of winds.

Remarks: A developing storm will affect the Maritime Provinces on Wednesday. Snow will develop Wednesday morning then to rain late in the day. Up to 10 cm of accumulation are possible before the changeover.

Maximum wind gusts: up to 100 km/h (especially over exposed areas).

Snowfall amounts: generally 5 to 10 cm before the changeover to rain, possibly 15 or more over the Cape Breton Highlands.

Rainfall amounts: up to 30 mm possible along the Atlantic coast.

Locations: Nova Scotia.

Time span: Wednesday.

Remarks: A developing storm will affect the Maritime Provinces on Wednesday. Snow will change to rain from west to east during the day. The highest rainfall amounts are expected along the Atlantic coast of the province.

Elevated water levels will also be possible near high tide along the Atlantic coast Thursday morning.

Maximum wind gusts: possibly up to 90 km/h for areas near the Fundy Coast, as well as the Bay of Chaleur.

Snowfall amounts: ranging from 10 to 15 cm across the south, possibly up to 25 for central and northern regions of the province.

Locations: New Brunswick.

Time span: Wednesday.

Remarks: A developing storm will affect the Maritime Provinces on Wednesday. Snow will spread rapidly northeastward across the province early Wednesday morning, changing to rain near noon along the Fundy Coast and elsewhere in the afternoon or evening before the precipitation ends.

Elevated water levels are possible near high tide along the Bay of Chaleur coastline on Wednesday.

THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and mixed precipitation possible. Total snow and

  sleet accumulations between 4 and 8 inches and a light glaze of

  ice possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far Northern,

  and Penobscot Valley Maine

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow

  could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions

  could impact the Wednesday morning commute. Very strong winds and

  snow loading could cause damage to trees and power lines.

  Coastal York, Interior York, Kennebec, Lincoln and Sagadahoc and

  New Hampshire, including the following areas, Belknap, Coastal

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

  Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with snow and other

* WHAT...Minor to localized moderate coastal flooding possible.

  Inundation depths up to one foot deep. Large, battering waves

  may lead to beach erosion and splash-over.

* WHERE...In Maine, Coastal York, Coastal Cumberland, Sagadahoc,

  Lincoln, Knox and Coastal Waldo Counties. In New Hampshire,

  Coastal Rockingham County.

* WHEN...Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property

  including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure

  may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur.

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be

closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
