Snowfall warning in effect for:

Halifax County - east of Porters Lake
Significant snowfall expected on Friday.

Accumulation: 15 to 20 cm.

Location: Cape Breton and eastern mainland Nova Scotia.

Remarks: Rain will change to snow, at times heavy, early Friday morning and will taper off by Friday afternoon. The highest accumulations will be along the Atlantic coast and over higher terrain.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
