Power has been restored to most people in Fredericton and surrounding areas who lost it during Friday's thunderstorm.
NB Power restored electricity to all but 200 customers as of 6 p.m. Sunday.
Earlier in the day, more than 1,000 were waiting for their power to be restored — two days after a severe thunderstorm slammed the region, tumbling trees and knocking out power lines.
At the peak of the storm Friday evening, 13,000 customers were without power. Nearly half the outages were restored Friday evening, and most of the others were restored Saturday.
