EVENING...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation occurring. Total snow and sleet
  accumulations of up to one half inch and ice accumulations of
  up to one tenth of an inch are expected.

* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook, Northeast Aroostook, Northern
  Somerset, Northern Piscataquis, Northern Penobscot and
  Southeast Aroostook Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
  conditions, including during the evening commute. Expect
  reduced visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

* Winds...East 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing...Strong wind gusts will develop this afternoon and
  continue into the evening hours.

* Impacts...Strong wind gusts can lead to downed trees and limbs,
  and scattered power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph...or
wind gusts 46 to 57 mph...are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 2 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* Location...Acadia National Park...Schoodic Point Peninsula...
  Lamoine Beach...Roque Bluffs State Park...Quoddy Head State
  Park

* TIMING...Flooding impacts are expected within 2 hours either
  side of the high tide cycle. High tide will occur around
  midnight tonight.

* Shoreline Flood Impacts...Significant wave action will cause
  minor overtopping of exposed coastal roadways, allowing small
  rocks washing up on roads to cause damage to vehicles.
  Majority of roads will remain passable with only isolated
  closures. Minor beach erosion is possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

An extended period of freezing rain is expected on Tuesday...

A low pressure system slowly approaching from the west will produce freezing rain starting early Tuesday morning and will change to rain by noon.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

An extended period of freezing rain is expected for many areas of New Brunswick...

A low pressure system will slowly approach New Brunswick today bringing mixed precipitation. The precipitation will start as ice pellets, flurries or showers today and then change to freezing rain tonight

and persist into Tuesday. The highest accumulations are expected over northern New Brunswick where up to 15 mm of freezing rain is possible.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Poor weather conditions may contribute to

transportation delays.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
