Intermittent wet snow is will cause a layer of slush on the roads
across far Northern Maine overnight. Travelers are advised to be
extra cautious while driving.

Rain, heavy at times is expected.

Total rainfall: 25 to 50 mm.

Locations: the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia from Queens County to Cape Breton County.

Time span: continuing over eastern parts of the mainland reaching Cape Breton County near midnight. Rain ending from west to east tonight through Monday afternoon.

Remarks: The rain will be accompanied by southeasterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Be prepared for possible winter conditions at higher elevations.

Snowfall with total amounts near 25 cm is expected.

Locations: central and northwestern New Brunswick.

Time span: continuing tonight, tapering to flurries on Monday.

Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.

Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Higher than normal water levels with large waves are expected near the coast.

Locations: Bay of Chaleur area to Bouctouche.

Maximum wave heights: 3 to 4 metres, breaking upon approach to shore.

Time span: late Monday afternoon until Monday evening.

High tide: 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday.

Remarks: Large waves and pounding surf will produce higher than normal water levels along the coast, especially near high tide. These large waves can cause coastal erosion in vulnerable areas, as well as damage to infrastructure along the shoreline, especially at locations that have been prone to impacts during similar events in the past.

  Counties. In New Hampshire, Coastal Rockingham County.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
  isolated road closures expected.

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding possible.

* WHERE...Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels are expected to barely reach into minor
  flood levels at locations such as Machias. In addition, breaking
  waves will cause minor overtopping of exposed coastal roadways.
  Impacts will be far less than Sunday`s midday high tide. Areas
  of concern include but are not limited to, Schoodic Point and
  Seawall Road. Beach erosion is expected at locations such as
  Roque Bluffs.

Locations: Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, south facing shorelines.

Time span: this evening through Monday morning.

First high tide: 8 P.M. to 10 P.M. tonight.
Second high tide: 8 A.M. Monday to 10 A.M. Monday.

Remarks: Large waves and pounding surf will produce higher than normal water levels along the coast, especially near high tide.
