This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine, Far
Eastern Maine, Far Northern Maine, North Woods Maine and Penobscot
Valley Maine.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Rain, heavy at times expected on Thursday as a strong storm systems
moves north across the region. This rain may produce ponding of
water on area roadways, especially with leaves clogging drains and
culverts. In addition, gusty northeast winds can be expected on
Thursday.

conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Queens County P.E.I.
Rain and wind on Thursday...more rain on Friday

An intense low pressure system will track towards the region on Thursday. Rain and wind will begin Thursday afternoon and persist into the evening. Additionally, easterly wind gusts of 70 km/h or higher are likely and may reach warning criteria of 90 km/h. Higher than normal water levels and rough surf is also possible near high tide along the north coast Thursday evening.

Indications are that the rain will taper to showers later Thursday night. Then on Friday as the low tracks across the Gulf of St. Lawrence, more rain is expected. Total rainfall amounts from Thursday afternoon to Friday evening of 20 to 40 mm are expected.

Fredericton and Southern York County
Rain and wind on Thursday.

An intense low pressure system will track towards the region on Thursday. Rain and wind will begin over southwestern sections of the province in the morning and reach the northeast by afternoon. Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected but may exceed warning criteria of 50 mm along the Fundy and Bay of Chaleur coasts. Additionally, easterly wind gusts of 70 km/h or higher are likely and may reach warning criteria of 90 km/h. Higher than normal water levels and rough surf is also possible along the Bay of Chaleur coast near high tide Thursday evening.

An intense low pressure system will track towards the region on Thursday. Rain and wind will begin over western sections of the province in the morning and reach Cape Breton by afternoon. Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected but may exceed warning criteria of 50 mm along the Atlantic coast. Additionally, southeast wind gusts of 70 km/h or higher are likely and may reach warning criteria of 90 km/h. Higher than normal water levels and rough surf is also possible along the Atlantic near high tide on Thursday.
