Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County continued

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system is approaching from the south today and passing over Cape Breton tonight. This disturbance will bring rain to most regions of Nova Scotia with heaviest rainfall expected over Cape Breton where total rainfall amounts of 50 millimetres are forecast for eastern regions. Elsewhere across Cape Breton total rainfall amounts of 30 to 40 millimetres are expected. For eastern parts of Mainland Nova Scotia lesser amounts are forecast.
