Rainfall warning in effect for:


Fredericton and Southern York County

Heavy rain to continue tonight into Wednesday morning.


Total rainfall: 40 to 70 mm with locally higher amounts possible.


Maximum wind gusts: 50 km/h.


Locations: parts of central and western New Brunswick.


Time span: until Wednesday near noon.


Remarks: Rain will be heavy at times tonight and Wednesday morning. The rain is expected to taper to showers Wednesday afternoon.


Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.


Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Locations: New Brunswick.


Time span: Tuesday evening to Wednesday.


Remarks: Rain will begin this evening over western regions and spread eastward into the overnight hours, becoming heavy at times. The rain is expected to taper to showers Wednesday.

Locations: Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia and areas of Cape Breton.


Time span: this evening into Wednesday.


Remarks: Rain will begin this evening over western regions and spread eastward into the overnight hours, becoming heavy at times. The rain is expected to taper to showers by Wednesday afternoon for 


mainland Nova Scotia and by Wednesday evening for Cape Breton.
