1145 AM EST THIS MORNING FOR NORTHWESTERN SAGADAHOC, SOUTHEASTERN

ANDROSCOGGIN, CUMBERLAND, CENTRAL YORK, SOUTHEASTERN STRAFFORD, AND

SOUTHEASTERN ROCKINGHAM COUNTIES...

At 1023 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated

heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small

stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...

  Portland, Lewiston, South Portland, Auburn, Biddeford, Portsmouth,

  Brunswick, Westbrook, Hampton, and Durham.

Biddeford and Portland have reported minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
