Excessive Heat Warning Issued For Central New Brunswick

Heat Warning in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Humidex values reaching 33 are expected for the next day.
A period of very warm and humid weather is expected.
Time span: Tonight and Thursday, possibly into Friday.
Locations: northwestern New Brunswick.
Minimum temperature tonight: 20 degrees C
Maximum temperature Thursday: 32 degrees C (Humidex 39)
Locations: Eastern New Brunswick.
Maximum temperature Thursday: 32 degrees C (Humidex 39)
Minimum temperature Thursday night: 18 degrees C
Maximum temperature Friday: possibly 30 degree C
Remarks: Warm temperatures near 30 degrees will occur Thursday with overnight temperatures near 18. Temperatures Friday will likely reach
30 degrees again on Friday. Cooler conditions will occur this weekend.
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and heartbeat; extreme thirst; decreased urination with unusually dark urine.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
