On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, a low pressure system began to
approach the Maritimes from the west. Snow and rain ahead of this
system spread across New Brunswick and generated high winds,
significant snowfall and rainfall.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, a low pressure system began to
approach the maritimes from the west. Snow and rain ahead of this
system spread across Nova Scotia and generated high winds,
significant rainfall, and blustery conditions during the morning
commuting hours. There were also reports of thunder and lightning in
some of the heavier downpours of rain.
