THURSDAY...

* WINDS...West 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* TIMING...Through early this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down tree limbs and a few
  trees. Scattered power outages are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Saint John and County
Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

A low pressure system will approach New Brunswick today from the Great Lakes. Periods of rain today will persist tonight and most of the day Thursday. Rainfall amounts up to 30 mm are expected over parts of southern New Brunswick by late in the day Thursday.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Prince County P.E.I.
Two low pressure systems are expected to approach the Maritimes from the Great Lakes today and Thursday. Rain with the first system will affect the island today and into Thursday morning. Depending on the track of the second low, the western portions of the island could see an extended period of freezing rain early Thursday morning into the afternoon.
