...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds
  gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Central Somerset, Northern Franklin and Northern Oxford
  Counties.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions due to snow covered
  roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning
  commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by

Special weather statement in effect for:

Mount Carleton - Renous Highway
Significant spring snowfall expected.

Total snowfall: possibly 10 to 15 cm.

Locations: Victoria, and Eastern Restigouche.

Time span: Thursday and Thursday night.

Remarks: Significant snowfall is likely across northwestern New Brunswick. Current forecast guidance is suggesting that the precipitation, rain mixed with wet snow, will continue tonight and then change to snow on Thursday. Freezing rain is possible during the transition from rain to snow. Brisk northwest winds will develop in the wake of this system.

Conditions will improve on Friday.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 to 11
  inches with highest totals toward the Quebec border. Winds gusting
  as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook County.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and
  Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree
  branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause
primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.
