Freezing rain warning for

Fredericton and Southern York County issued



An extended period of freezing rain is expected overnight.



This is a warning that an extended period of freezing rain is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.



A low pressure system will track along the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Precipitation associated with this low will begin as snow tonight across all parts of the province. Snow will persist into Wednesday over northern areas but will change to rain overnight in southern regions. A band of freezing rain is expected to move through central regions overnight and persist into Wednesday morning. Snowfall amounts of up to 20 centimetres are expected just north of this band of freezing rain.
