* WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph

  possible.


* WHERE...Southern Penobscot, Interior Hancock, Central

  Washington, Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.


* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.


* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power

  lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be

  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Maine, west
central Maine, western Maine, New Hampshire, central New Hampshire,
northern New Hampshire and southern New Hampshire.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

A strong storm system brings rain to the area Monday evening into
Tuesday morning. Rain could be heavy at times with ponding of water
in poor drainage areas possible. Breezy winds will be likely with
gusts to 30 mph with higher gusts in the mountains.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Acadian Peninsula
Location: New Brunswick except northernmost counties.

Time span: Monday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

Potential Rainfall amount: 50 to 100 mm with higher amounts possible in areas of heaviest rain.

Remarks: An intense low pressure system is expected to move into New England on Monday. Rain ahead of this system will move into western New Brunswick Monday afternoon and spread northeastward Monday night and will become heavy at times. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm are likely with locally higher amounts possible. Additionally, gusty southeast winds are expected on Tuesday.
