THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW...MAINLY ACROSS THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS. AREAS FARTHER SOUTH IN THE WATCH AREA COULD SEE
BETWEEN 2-4 INCHES OF SNOW.
* TIMING...MOST OF THE SNOW WILL FALL DURING THE DAY
WEDNESDAY...COMING TO AN END LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* TEMPERATURES...STARTING OUT IN THE TEENS AND LOWER 20S...WARMING
INTO THE UPPER 20S AND LOWER 30S.
* WINDS...EAST NORTHEAST BETWEEN 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20
MPH.
* IMPACTS...THE SNOW WILL PRODUCE SLIPPERY CONDITIONS CAUSING SOME

This is an alert to the potential development of dangerous winter weather conditions in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A developing low pressure system from the Central United States will move to lie over the Maritimes by Thursday morning. A warm front associated with the low will spread snow, ice pellets and freezing rain over Prince Edward Island beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing into the evening.

Snowfall and freezing precipitation expected for most of Cape Breton Island Wednesday evening.
This is an alert to the potential development of dangerous winter weather conditions in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A developing low pressure system from the Central United States will move to lie over the Maritimes by Thursday morning. A warm front associated with the low will spread ice pellets, freezing rain and rain over Nova Scotia being early on Wednesday afternoon and continuing into the evening. Cape Breton Island can expect snow to begin late in the afternoon before changing to ice pellets and freezing rain in the evening. Please refer to the latest public forecasts for further details.
