A warm front extending from a low pressure center over Eastern Ontario will move through the region this morning. Periods of rain will begin this morning ending Saturday morning. Total rainfall of 30 to 40 millimetres of rain is expected. The rain will start as freezing rain over northern regions changing to rain later in the day as temperatures climb well above zero.

Halifax County - east of Porters Lake issued

25 to 40 millimetres of rain is expected by Saturday afternoon.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A warm front extending from a low pressure center over the Great Lakes will move through the region this morning followed by a cold frontal passage on Saturday. Showers or drizzle will develop today and then become rain at times heavy ahead of the cold front tonight. The rain will end on Saturday in the wake of the cold front. A total of 25 to 40 millimetres of rain is expected with this system.

Strong southeast winds ahead of this frontal system will produce Les Suetes winds gusting to 90 km/h tonight and 120 km/h on Saturday from Margaree Harbour to bay st. Lawrence.
