...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 10 AM EDT

THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Minor to moderate flooding is likely during the

  Thursday morning high tide due to storm surge and large

  battering waves.

* WHERE...In Maine, Coastal York and Coastal Cumberland

  Counties. In New Hampshire, Coastal Rockingham County.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 10 AM EDT Thursday.

* TIDAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying

  property including homes, businesses, and some critical

  infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion a

  likely to occur.

* WAVE IMPACTS... Large battering waves of 15 to 20ft will lead

  to splashover, debris thrown onto shoreline roads, and

  possible damage to unprotected infrastructure damaged in

  previous storms.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If

travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through

water of unknown depth.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM THURSDAY TO 11

AM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and

  14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Penobscot, Southeast Aroostook, Northern

  Piscataquis, and Northern Somerset Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 11 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions

  could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Strong

  winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather

conditions will make travel extremely dangerous. If you must travel,

keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of

an emergency.
