Air Quality Advisory Issued For New Brunswick Due To Wildfire Smoke
9:33 AM ADT Tuesday 20 July 2021
Special air quality statement in effect for:
Fredericton and Southern York County
Smoke from wildfires in central Canada is being carried over the province today with satellite images showing a smoke plume extending through the northwestern New Brunswick. This smoke may descend close to the ground and reduce air quality for several hours. The smoke plume will continue to sweep southeastward throughout the day and could affect southern regions by this afternoon. The smoke is expected to move out of the province later on Wednesday which will lead to an improvement in air quality for all areas.
Visit www.airhealth.ca for information on how to reduce your health risk and your personal contribution to pollution levels, as well as for current and forecast AQHI values.
