...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of Maine and New Hampshire, including
the following areas, in Maine, Coastal Cumberland, Coastal
York, Interior Cumberland, Interior York, Lincoln, and
Sagadahoc. In New Hampshire, Coastal Rockingham, Interior
  Rockingham, and Strafford.

* From this evening through late tonight

* A period of heavy rain is expected overnight with one to one and
a half inches of rain possible in just 3 to 6 hours. This amount
of rain in a short amount of time will likely cause some
flooding issues since storm drains may be blocked with snow. In
addition, snowbanks on the side of roads may not allow the
rainfall to drain off fast enough before flooding occurs.
Therefore, it is possible that some streets may become
impassible as ponding of water occurs. Small streams may
experience significant rises as well. The heaviest rainfall is
expected to occur between 8 PM and 1 AM tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Freezing rain warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

SIgnificant freezing rain possible on Sunday.

Location: central and northern New Brunswick.

Timing: Sunday morning and afternoon.

Remarks: Freezing rain will develop early Sunday over western counties then spread eastward. Freezing rain will persist for 4 hours or more in many regions, before changing over to snow in the northwest and to rain elsewhere late in the day on Sunday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
